Manufacturer Information
Today, Volvo Cars is one of the most well-known and respected premium car brands, preparing for a new future that will be all-electric, autonomous and connected. The company is a truly global organisation: the roots are decidedly Scandinavian, but they have manufacturing, research and design operations in Europe, Asia and the Americas. They aim to reduce our CO2 emissions per car by 40 per cent between now and 2025, a first tangible step towards our long-term goal of becoming climate neutral by 2040. (Photo: GAKEI.com)

Full Description of bus
KMB owns the world's first Volvo B8L, which is also the first traditional power double-decker bus in Hong Kong that meets the EU Type VI emission standards. It is equipped with a 7.7-litre D8K-350 diesel engine that complies with EU Phase VI emission standards. In addition to the use of selective catalytic reduction and exhaust gas recirculation technologies to meet EU Stage VI emissions standards, the engine's output of 350 horsepower is also better than the previous 9.3-litre D9A-300 / 340 or D9B-310 engines used by B9TL. The chassis axle drive arrangement makes the B8L quite quiet when driving.
