Scania K310UD uses Scania DC-918-BO2 engine with EU Type 4 emission standard. This newly developed fifth-generation engine has a capacity of 8.9 litres and uses a five-cylinder, which is different from the six-cylinder upgraded engine of the previous generation. The exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) developed by the original factory makes the engine's exhaust emissions meet EU Type 4 standards.
