The Enviro400's chassis is a modified version of the Dennis Trident II (two-axis version), which can be equipped with Cummins' ISCe-225 EU Type III engine or ISBe-250 EU Type IV engine, and Voith DIWA 854.5 four front speed or ZF Ecolife 6AP1203B six forward speed gearbox.
